Saint Francis Seraph Parish Community Welcomes You! Our Welcome Guide will help you during your first visit to our parish.

Saint Francis Seraph Church, a Roman Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, established by the Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. John the Baptist in 1859, welcomes all people. Through our celebration of Word and Sacrament, and in sharing our gifts in service to others, we are renewed, transformed and empowered to be instruments of reconciliation and peace in the Franciscan tradition.

While we are based in Over-the-Rhine, our parishioners come from all over the Tri-state area and come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We treasure our sense of community and our joyful celebration of the Mass. We offer a way to walk with those on the margins of our society. We invite you come and join with us!

OUR MISSION: Saint Francis Seraph is a Catholic faith community. We are called to serve with and among people of Over-the-Rhine. Our mission is to share the powerful love of Jesus Christ, which changes lives and communities. In the spirit of Saint Francis, we proclaim the Gospel through worship, education and social justice.

Our parish is committed–in the spirit of St. Francis ologof Assisi–to express our Gospel commitment to serve others. We do this in two ways: Our St. Francis Seraph School provides an excellent Catholic education to children from pre-school through grade eight.

Our Parish also maintains a covenant relationship with Saint Francis Seraph Ministries in its mission to nurture and nourish the residents of our neighborhood in the Franciscan spirit. We give financial support, board membership and volunteer presence to the Ministries which share our presence here.
